ADHD in Elderly Populations

   Proposal Description:
   Given the limited data about ADHD in elderly populations, we were hoping to review the NACC database to better characterize patients who have either self-reported or had a clinician diagnosis of ADHD, including comorbid diagnoses, cognitive status, use of medications. We hope to identify patterns of cognitive deficits in this population, as well as identify risk factors for progression to dementia. We would also like to see if there are any clinical or imaging biomarkers (and pathology if available) that can distinguish people who will remain static with an ADHD cognitive pattern from this who will progress to dementia. Methods will most likely include descriptive statistics and regression analysis.
